“El Golpe De Tu Vida”, sponsored by Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, is a free event open to all National Golf Center players of legal age. It consists of a “Closest Ball” contest on the par 3, 9th hole.

Excitement until the last moment! Last Saturday, June 24 at 9 pm, we had the privilege of participating in the live video broadcast of the final of “The Shot of Your Life”. The setting was the impressive 9th hole of the National Golf Center course in Madrid, and we enjoyed an evening full of sporting emotions.

The broadcast was made with the Azzulei TV application, using two fixed cameras of the course (connected via RTSP protocol), the camera of an iPhone XR cell phone (with azzuleiTV app) on a tripod and a laptop to control the realization from the web. The network connection for the mobile and the laptop was quite complicated, using only 4G with reduced coverage. From the beginning, tension was palpable in the air as the golfers prepared to face this unique challenge. The participants, who had qualified for this final throughout the season, would have only one shot from the tee. The closest ball would win the contest. With only three contestants left (out of 48 finalists) David Ortega, with a great shot, left the ball 2.30 meters from the flag, getting the victory and winning a one week trip to Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in the Dominican Republic.
